A potential Client told me she wants Dark Humor at her Wedding. I agreed ~ I said that I would try to impost Dark Humor onto her Guest's Caricatures. I felt like it would be ..... different for me. A change. Because I do Not usually draw like this.
I tried it out a few times here in the studio. I used reference photos from Caricatures that I previously drew just fine at other Parties.
It turned out to be an unpleasant activity for me. Because I have to 'feel' the attitude that I choose to impose onto the picture. I usually enjoy the feeling that I get when I am drawing all sorts of Happy Party People (now I understand why people feel so uplifted when I am working a Party).
Like being an Actress ~ I figured that it might be good to 'explore it. I gave it a try in my time off ~ to make sure I would be able to give my Client the Party she wants. This is what I came up with. I refused to add arbitrary things like knives and 'blood', but I would impse a disturbing attitude ~ if I could.
Turns out that it is just not fun to feel like that. I would be willing to accept this upcoming job, this time. But it's not going to feel good for me to do this for several Hours at the Party. It is going to be Work.
